I have a 04 freightliner columbia that for some reason when i start the truck this abs 136 code shows up on the dash but then after the truck is running the code goes off. The truck runs fine but I would just like to get this figured out.

136 is only telling you that the ABS has a fault. You should be able to hit the button to get a SID & FMI, which is the actual fault code and failure mode.

03 Columbia same problems, ABS 136 code before the yellow brake knob is pushed in, and ABS light ON all the time. I removed the plastic panel behind the driver's seat and held the abs switch for three seconds, and then the ABS light started blinking on the dash (also at the same time the relay clicks underneath the ABS switch, I unplugged it and the light went off but ABS136 still ON, and that means ABS system is probably disabled) I wrote down the blinking sequence ( first it was code 4-1, then 4-2, which means rear axle speed sensor might have too big of an air gap) i forgot which one means left and which one means right, anyway i unplugged the steer axle speed sensors, cleaned the off and put the left one in the right wheel and right one in the left wheel, and now when i do the ABS switch check, it just blinks twice then 5 second pause, blinks twice and 5 second pause, on and on til i turn off the ignition, Anybody have any ideas?
