i still cant get over this. it says volumes about the company and the owner..... and some of his drivers. the driver in question had no car so the boss would let him take his truck home. the driver went and got hammered drunk and apparently decided he wanted more. he got in the daycab peterbilt and drove to the store drunk. he didnt use his turn signal and got pulled over, 5x the legal limit. to add icing to the cake, the boss has allowed him to continue to drive until the state pulls his CDL. unbelievably stupid. he got his DWI about a month ago and tuesday is his last day. i knew the driver got a DWI but i assumed that it was in a car. to think anyone would sacrifice what livelyhood they have to go get some more beer. what a dummy.

the fact my boss allows him to continue to drive with a pending DWI that the driver got while driving the boss's CMV. WOW. it says volumes about the company's standards regarding liability and safety. they have NONE. im just meat in the seat. if it were my company that driver would be out of the truck so fast he wouldnt be able to blink

Again? Would you do everyone a favor and leave.
(Yes I know the ignore button, but I'm far from the only one he annoys with his whining!)

i just think its a mess. the boss cant hire enough and keep drivers, he will do anything to keep meat in the seat. i don't think loyalty has much to do with it. i am looking for another job, but until such a time im going to keep working. im applying at a company that has dump truck and loyboy $18-$20 per hour.

Ya know, some people would be in your position and say #### it a long time ago and look elsewhere. Is there a particular reason why you feel you are above taking a job over the road or even regional?

How many times have I told you, your working
    Bottom of the barrel jobs.
This is what I mean when I say that.
These are the people they hire.
You can run but you can't hide.
One day your gonna luck up and get a real job.

Then your biggest fears will be exposed.
Your going to have to take a 53 ft trailer into
The city and actually back into tight docks.
All day, sometimes blind side. With no help.

Better jump on a good job now.
At your current pace of changing jobs every
3 months, pretty soon nobody worth a darn
Is gonna give you a chance.

Your gonna be stuck doing milk, rocks, dirt,
    Cement,logs forever.
All seasonal jobs. Up and down hours.
    Can't count on anything.
Having to change jobs every 6 months.
That #### gets old after awhile.

He's afraid of a 53 ft trailer and a dock. Scares the
    Living daylights out of him.

Grubby, nax, Bean Jr. and 5 others Thank this.
