AC doesn't work while idling Peterbilt 579

    I'd swear that they don't exist on this tractor. I traced the lines right from the block and I don't see a shutoff. Bizzare. I'll try tomorrow again when the sun is up.

    There wont be shutoffs on them. None installed from factory

    Thank you! I didn't think I was crazy or stupid. Maybe I can gently pinch off the hoses just while I'm parked to see if it helps?

    Otherwise I'm just taking the #### thing to Peterbilt next week because the TA shop is basically useless.

    You can try it. Either it works or it doesnt. Peterbilt would be good to take it to due to the HVAC module that controls all the actuators/ ac compressor

    Yeah I figured that Peterbilt is the best place as usual!

    Does anyone know how to reset the blend doors? A mechanic said you can do that on a Freightliner but I can't find anything on Google for doing that on a Peterbilt.

    do you have the owner's manual in the truck?

    maybe it might say something about that in there?
