one way to "usually" reset the electronics on today's vehicles, is to remove the battery cable (negative) for at the very least 5 to 10 minutes, this will of course may delete your AM/FM radio presets.

when you reconnect the battery cable, you start up the vehicle and let it run at idle for about another 5- 10 minutes, so the computer can "re-learn" it's parameters.

make sure all electronic devices are off.

if it's just an a/c system that lost it's settings.

then turn on the a/c and try it.

The actuators actually all perform a self test at key on power up cycle to check that proper range and stops are achieved from all 5 actuators. Which are all the same part by the way. The early version actuators had troubles anything dated prior to Jan2016 on the actuator.

Unfortunately no warnings to the operator are given that there is an issue other than lack of function. There is a self test in ESA to calibrate them. The panel door itself is also prone to breakage. Dash comes out to fix that one.

Thank you, guys! I'll keep working on it because Peterbilt doesn't open until Monday morning!

It's pretty hot here in the desert at Wells Nevada while I'm on my 34!

    Appreciate the replies!

All the door actuators are self learning. Honestly not much you can do to it. Best to wait for the pete shop to open

It was the compressor going out. It left a bunch of metal in the system.

They flushed the entire system out and installed a new compressor.

Thank you everyone, for your feedback!

    Update.

It was the compressor going out. It left a bunch of metal in the system..it took out the condenser too. Expensive AF. Awesome.

They flushed the entire system and installed a new compressor and condenser.

Thank you, everyone for your feedback!

This style condenser with the o ring/flange seal connections will get blocked by debris in the system. If you find metal it needs to be replaced as you can never flush it to get everything out so it will function correctly. The older tube style with the threaded connections are cleanable.

Interesting. Yeah they tried to just do a flush and it didn't work like you said so they had to replace it.

    buddyd157 Thanks this.
