I've got a 2005 International with an ISX 2250 (swapped in) that had a hole rubbed in the AC condenser.
Took a couple weeks but we got the new condenser and swapped it out as well as the dryer/accumulator.
We pulled a vacuum and started filling it up and the AC compressor started running and the clutch never disengages.
We had it filled at 3.5 pounds but was only coming out the vent at 60F (ambient shop air wa about 76F) and compressor still was constantly engaged.
Fan is coming on and going off as required to pull down the pressure.
Not sure where to look next. It was working/cooling good before the condenser went out.

The low side will go up at the same rate as the high side. When they both hit about 250... the fan kicks in and they both drop to about 100

You have something mixed up here. Can you get a pic of the gauges with A/C on, fan on?

High pressure switch should disengage clutch. Usually happens soon after fan kicks on. Might be a bad hi side of the hi/lo pressure switch. On my Freightliner it’s a round switch, located on top of dryer. Other switch on dryer, (w/pigtail) is the fan switch. Buy a new switch, worst case you’ll have a spare. It’s a common problem.

    singlescrewshaker and skman Thank this.

Kinda starting to sound like a small bit of debris got into the system when working on it and stuck in the expansion valve. ?

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering. I ordered a new expansion valve today. Should be here Tuesday

When you replaced the condenser, did you ad the needed amount of PAG oil to make up the loss?

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.
