DAC needs put out of business. A 3rd party company who can negatively impact one’s future employment, whether entries are truthful or not, shouldn’t exist. It’s blatant slandering of drivers by POS employers, management, and employees.

Why do a lease with Prime? Cant you pick a better carrier???? They are a starter company?? Granted you can turn the truck in. But you can't take the truck to another carrier.hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
Prime trucks are butt ugly with those tribal flame graphics and whack colors. But then again it's somebody's dream truck.

I can't make any recommendations, but I want to make a statement. DAC/Hireright is NOT the problem here. They are just a company that provides information. Regarding the trucking business, they make reports to carriers designed to comply with DOT/FMCSA hiring rules. Driverpulse does this as well. Whether a company reports to DAC/Hireright or Driverpluse is not the issue. The issue is CFR 391 subpart C MANDATES employment records be obtained by the hiring carrier, EVEN if all you have ever done is flip burgers. If a company does not utilize DAC/Hireright or Driverpulse they still have to get the information. Most of the time, they get a summary.
Dates worked
Reason for leaving
Rehire status
If DAC/Hireright has negative information, it means that the information came from a company that sent it to them. If Driverpulse has that information, the same thing applies. If a hiring carrier does not use any reporting company, then they themselves have to follow CFR 391 subpart c and inquire. If they find this information, they got it directly from the carrier.
Understand I am NOT a DAC sycophant and never will be. I have, over the years assisted some drivers to get mistakes fixed. In every case, DAC was holding bad information that came directly from the carrier that reported it. We had to communicate with that carrier. In some cases, you are allowed to have your comment disputing that information made part of the database.
I am not going to post this information. I do wish that TTR had a pinned thread with it. You have the right under federal law to get at least once a year a copy of all information being held on you. This means you can get a FREE copy of your DAC as well as your credit reports. I HIGHLY recommend you get these reports each and every year to make sure there is no bad information on them.
One last point. This OP has such a fear of DAC they are about to crap in their pants. Why is it so dang hard to get good information out there that is not full of hyperbole?tscottme Thanks this.
