I've heard a lot of stories of recruiters lying to get people into the schools. So my question is this: I received a ticket on my birthday 8 months ago for driving the wrong way on a one way street. Will this keep me from getting a job with the company that is sending me to the driving academy after I graduate?

My recruiter said I was good to go on my background check and motor vehicle report. This is the only citation I've had since 2003.

I just want a second opinion from experienced Drivers, so there are no surprises for me during this process.

where you drunk not to see that you were going the wrong way?

also if you do this driving semi forget being in the truck.
might as well think of doing other line of work.

I haven't ever been drunk, so, no that was not the case. I pulled out of a parking lot and turned the wrong way on the street. This was in my personal vehicle not in a tractor, as I said I haven't attended the academy yet.

did you yourself get a copy of your DMV report.........??

that ticket is still fresh, and may hurt you in getting a job. school recruiters WILL LIE to you to get your money, haven't you read anything here saying that..........???

    soma0101 Thanks this.

Yes, I have heard those stories Rerun. I understand that you may have no more than three moving violations in three years to be hired by the company I am talking to. I also understand that there is no guarantee of hire after completing the academy.

So, the second opinion would be that the recruiter is lying to me than about being cleared in my background and MVR?

Edit: I feel no need to get a dmv report as I've only gotten two tickets in my life. One was for speeding seven years ago. I elected to take the class, received no points. The second was the ticket from eight months ago.

go get your own DMV report. in fact, at least once per year you should have a fresh copy of your DMV report.

    soma0101 Thanks this.
