Dangit man. Sounds like everything is working in your favor like it's supposed to. Life can suck sometimes but you don't have it that bad. Count your blessings.

What ever happened to #### happens? Some people get a raw deal some don't. Life happens. Not everything that happens to someone should be paid off by someone else.

There is risk in life, if you don't want to take that risk don't leave the house.

Why not try to figure out how to get your own life in order instead of looking for someone to blame.

I sustained a repetitive strain injury to my thumb while texting my girlfriend. Can I sue her?

@pattyj I know where you were coming from. You put up common sense posts. Some of these people though, not so much.

You're not going to get crap out of them it'll cost you more to sue than you think you would get back. I know everyone wants a quick buck. But you signed up to team drive and that driver is an idiot for being inexperienced or driving too fast for the conditions. Sue the driver good luck getting a dollar

I think there might be a misunderstanding of your situation. I read it as you were a driver for a contractor (the owner of the vehicle), not the contractor. Correct? If so, disregard most of these replies from some of these folks, you were given the correct answer to contact a lawyer. I suspect the lawyer will most likely focus his attention on the contractors vehicle insurance carrier.
Then again, I've been known to be wrong (inquiries for further clarification on this matter may be made to my wife).
