    I am from indiana and several months ago i got in a small fender bender with my pickup and im lookin to get my CDL in a few months and ive heard from a couple friends that since i got in a car accident i gotta wait another three years to get it now. Im not so sure if thats true figuring also its my first accident

    Probably not the best thing -but might be do able because you're not concidered a 'professional' driver yet - but this is coming from another newbie - so take this with a LARGE grain of salt.

    OK, here is what you need to know:

    1. Was the accident your fault?

    2. Do you have the police report?

    3. How good is your driving record, besides this incident?

    Those will be BIG factors in deciding to jump on the truck driving lane
    to hell on wheels or not.

    If you do have a history of speeding, or other traffic infractions,
    or hopefully not, a DUI, it's gonna be a tough road to travel for you.
