Freak accident while driving under a load caused injury to myself. Unaware company did not carry uninsured motorist on drivers, only liability. Workers comp of poor help . Any other options? Multi-million dollar company would not go the extra few bucks to protect it's drivers.

Interesting
Any more detail???
Who were you driving for??? -
You need to be asking a real attorney . You should be able to find one to give a free consultation and work on contingency .

Are you an O/P or a lease Opp?....Then that would be more understandable but if you are a compnay driver then you should be covered buy W/C

company driver, but don't count of w/c to see you thru, you get a max state allowance check every 2 weeks is less than a weeks on the road income.by the time they pay your med bills you end up way in the hole. uninsured motorist could have been filed if my company had it. it is not required in all states ,just liability companies can carry 1 million$ uninsured policies that would cover their drivers for this reason

Been with the company for years. Knew they had the required insurance for the rigg to be on the road. Did not know they had elected not to carry uninsured motorist insurance to protect their drivers. Just liability to cover another vehicle. Found out the hard way un insured motorist means the driver, not some idiot who has no insurance they never told us they did not have it. When accident occured only injury was me. Sure w/c kicjs in but you get a state max allowance as a truck driver every 2 wks that is less than a weeks over the road pay by the time your medical is settled you are sunk.. If they had crried the million dollar policy like requiredis several states at least the driver could break even

You shouldn't be obligated to medical bills . Don't pay them . Tell them it was a work related injury and to bill the company . Just a note to anyone reading this . If you are injured file a written report to the company ASAP and keep a copy . I got billed for a work related injury once . I called the clinic and they said the company claimed I didn't report the injury . I reported it to the branch I worked at but to keep a good safety record they didn't report it to corporate .
