In December of 2017 I got into a small accident doing a wrong left turn and clipped a tin roof. A police report was made and I was cited for ''careless driving''. I was able to beat the ticket in court, however, my question is: Will the accident itself show up on the MVR if the company I am applying to checks? It doesn't show up when I print a MVR copy at the DMV or Online. I don't want to land the job just to then be fired for submitting a False Application. thanks!
Accident doesn't show up on MVR... but.

Beating a ticket means you were not convicted of that particular problem. It might be something else minor or smaller if anything. If it's not on your MVR etc it did not happen.
HOWEVER your trucking company may have reported that damage as a preventable etc and your prospective employers you apply to for oh... 10 years from now will want to know about that damage etc. Like Kemosabi49 says Insurance is a driving force and databases against your name and particular ID information tied to that wreck, accident, whoopsie etc. It would be up to the employer to question you about it before hire or not. If they did question you, they chances are 9 to 10 they know some details and it will behoove you to be honest. -
Regardless of whether or not you beat the ticket in court, you had an accident, and the application clearly asks to describe and note any accidents that you have had. To not do so constitutes submitting a false application.

Is this common? A potential employer can check insurance companies to check your driving history? I'm by no means disagreeing, I've just never heard of this before. But is is common? Does my current employer have to give them their ins company name or is this just a nationwide search the put my info in & can get any accidents tickets etc from that general data base?

Pull your state H6, DAC (hire right) and your PSP if it matter it will be there.

There are databases. Usually if an insurance company paid a claim, you can be sure that info is in a database somewhere. Whether the insurance companies pay to repair your home, pay some of your medical bills, or whatever. If an insurance company rejects you for health insurance you are in a database so the next company doesn't accept you as a good customer only to be hit with big bills other insurance companies dodged.

I would say that if you hit something and was issued a ticket, the former employer would enter it in hireright at the termination of your employment(if they subscribe)or on a fax/mail past employment form.

Thanks! I called the recruiter and asked if I can re-do my app to include that accident. I probably lost the chance of getting the job. That company can't touch my dac if they haven't hired me, let alone interview me in person right?
