net and gross has nothing to do with expenses, it is the results of the revenue received.

In the case of insurance and a daily rate, you take your revenue received over the previous quarter - not annually - and devide it up by 90.

 

Remember.... Take in account we are being charged a daily rate regardless weather were working or not. But I know this isn't your first rodeo.

 

The net is the gross minus expenses. What school did you attend?

 

That's what I meant, first thing in the morning and spending time waking up with no coffee so you are right to a point but it isn't a fixed expense. Expenses are a combination of variability and fixed, gross is the number to focus on, not the net.
