Accident while waiting to get CLP. Quick question.

I am waiting on the OMV to resume testing in Louisiana to get my CLP. They had a virus that took down the whole system statewide two weeks ago.

Well, last week I was hit by a car turning right from the left lane while I was in the right lane. The state trooper said he would cite the other driver for illegal lane change and said I was not at fault. The other driver had dash cam that he showed the troopers. No injuries and neither vehicle was towed.
Before this my only other accident was over 4 years ago and it was when another driver backed into my car. No injuries or towing. Other driver was cited for improper backing. I was not at fault.

My question is while this affect me as far as getting signed with good company for training? Do companies want time to pass from an accident regardless of fault? I was planning on starting December 2019 for training.

 

OK good. I was a little worried even though it wasn't my fault. The only bad thing for now is waiting on the report. It will take a few weeks. But it could be worse if the other driver didn't show the cam to the trooper and they had to investigate.

 

Yea I actually bought one that night after I got home. It will definitely pay for itself. The other driver was certain he was in the right lane. I told him if he was I would of hit his bumper or corner. Not the dead center of the side of his truck like I did. When he got out of this truck he asked what I hit since he didnt see any damage to his bumper. After the trooper played back the footage the driver didnt say anything after.
