No big deal. At this point it made its way to the pan. It’s not going anywhere. I changed my oil pan gasket on my cat and found an old metal disc that came off oil fill cap. The part that screws up and pushes the rubber seal against oil fill tube.
It obviously went through timing gears before it made its way to the pan. It’s been in there for years like I said from previous owner. Just now found it. In order for a measly plastic piece to make its way through motor, it would have to make it through the oil pickup screen and then through the oil filter. Even so plastic piece won’t damage anything. I had hard metal go through years ago. You want to waste your money and time trying to chase it is your call. Even so, you would have to drop the pan to get it. Just leave it aloneAttached Files:
