According to Transport Topics (11/11/13), J-Mar Express Closes Doors; Trucks to Be Auctioned Off. Julian Martin founded his first trucking business in 1960. He died in 1998. His daughter, Glenda Martin, is retiring. She was assisted in the business by her brother, Mark.
Julian Martin's first company, Julian Martin Inc., grew to more than 300 trucks. He sold that and opened J-Mar in 1986 with about 30 tractors and 55 trailers.

No. This (Mark Martin) J-Mar was based in AR. I remember the trucks. Very nice 379 Petes pulling equally nice 53' reefers. Very fast trucks they were always in the left lane hammered down. Would see them going up and down 81 in VA and across 40 in TN all the time. When Viagra was Mark Martin's sponsor those trucks were also hauling pharmaceuticals for Phizer.

Yeah I remember "Mark Martin's J-Mar express" trucks, but haven't seen any seems like forever. Thought he went out some yrs back.

I think that Maverick took a bunch of the drivers and I think some trks. in a small buyout.
But they still had some running. Passed by their old yard during the summer some and saw a few trks. still in the yard
