If you were the one to get the 1.5 mil out of it, I'd have to say that's pretty good motoring. If it was rebuilt not patched and Counterbored or decked and the liner heights were spot on with the freshen up, then I would think you will go the same distance again. 😉

Yes, 1.51 million. Liners still had the cross hatch pattern in them, no lie. I almost replaced just the one liner, slide in a new gasket and bam. Yet, my wife gave me that, " you can't be serious" look. Sooooo, we went ahead and performed an inframe, right there in our driveway. The motor has never used oil or coolant. Never had any of the excessive blow-by folks usually describe. We bought the Cat Gold kit and a Cat reman head. I suppose I am one of the lucky ones. I always heard great things about CAT engines and just had to have one. We bought her new in November 2004.

I got scolded for that too, they put a thumb primer pump on there to fill the secondary. On the farm we always just filled the filters and screwed on. I think they are being overly safe but oh well.

That is another benefit of a FASS or similar unit. Turn the pump on and let it fill the filters.
I always fill an oil filter even they say not to do that either. A little bit a fuzz is better than no oil IMO. But the fuel filters I never fill the one closest to the injectors. A little bit of fuzz or flinkie could be damaging to an injector.
