anybody know the torque specs and sequence for a 05 mxs c15 acert engine? Gotta replace the gaskets tomorrow....would like to do it right!

ok here goes. studs torque to 26+or-4 lbs ft. nuts 28+or-4 lbs ft. cant figure how to show a diagram so top row 11 3 7 1 9 5 bottom row 4 12 2 8 6 10 hope this helps. almost forgot put neverseize on the studs before you install in head and on turbo studs.Last edited: Oct 29, 2012

yes sir makes perfect sense....top row is odd, bottom is even.

2 4 6 8 10 12

no not that way i'll try it again. 11 3 7 1 9 5 1 being the first bolt to tighten then 2 on the lower side of manifold in the sequence i listed. sorry cant figure out how to show it in a diagram not that computor literate.bubbanbrenda Thanks this.

Dont torque the studs in that tight. It makes them very hard to get out if they break.

How do ya know what the number of the stud is that you’re tightening? You say tighten 11 first. Which one is 11?

The numbers are the sequence you go by starting with 1.
