I've got a NXS series 625hp Acert, just got done installing the Bully Dog power tune as recommended by Bully Dog tech for best fuel economy.

Can we still use the fuel wire w/ the Bully Dog, will it make any difference?

I only noticed a .1 - .2mpg improvement using the fuel wire mod compared to without but there was a noticeable improvement in power.

I had a thread going about my poor fuel mileage a while ago, switched jobs and am pulling extremely light (almost empty) now and I was getting 5.8mpg stock. Hoping to get 6.5+ with the Bully Dog, I'll report later this week. I'm on a dedicated run so I can tell right away how much it improves as long as the road conditions stay the same and I keep filling up at the same pump every day.

I would think that since the programmer changes the ECM programming, and the fuel wire fools the ECM into changing things, that you might be better off removing it.

No, you can't double stack them. If you want the best mileage with fooling your ECM you just want to go with the Bully Dog alone. I've seen .6 tenths with mine for an E-model.
Where did you get yours from?

It all depends on the situation. I know guys that are still running the wire and the BD that are getting great MPG improvements. But, on my program (800HP) I ran the truck with both for 4 months and then removed the fuel wire and have been running it for 2 months now. SO far I haven't seen a drop in HP, but my MPG came up .2 from what it was with the wire and BD. I imagine the smaller tunes you may be able to still keep your wire on a reap some benefits out of it.

I got an instant gain of 10% fuel economy, from 5.8 to 6.4. If anyone has been on the fence about these things, they work. Money well spent. I was skeptical and only bought it half expecting to use their 30 day return policy if it didn't improve fuel mileage like they say it does. It works, I'm definitely keeping it! Plus the power is no comparison to the fuel wire. It's much stronger and the engine runs much smoother than it did with the fuel wire.

Depending on where you get one.... 2800. easily pay for itself on an acert.

undetectable, no voided warranties, great fuel mileage increase, higher horse, great customer service.
    - has warranty

    Fuel Wire mod

obviously visable, Voided warranties? not as great fuel mileage increase, your customer service.
    - no warranty.

    saddlemt Thanks this.
