Majority of loads on DAT versus ITS are the same. A small few are not. Some will be on ITS but not DAT or vice versa. I think it's worth it to have DAT as an extra. Very seldom when someone calls from ITS that we are not set up with them. Hardly ever happens. With DAT it seems to happen several times thru the course of a month that someone we aren't set up with calls. This tells me some brokers prefer one over the other same as truckers. A few good loads, it doesn't take many, to recover the cost. Worth it IMO.

If you go into January without relationships then you better have saved up. That is why I preach about working relationships and not being focused on the transactional business. And yes it is a little soft. All of 2014 we did $2.68 average and January to date we are $2.39. Little more than 10% drop for just January. Many of us can remember a few years back when you had some significant rate drops.
