i have peterbilt 379 with one pipe and it bothered me. so i had dual 6 inch pipes added. Also had 10 inch resonator installed in line underneath truck. My pipes are only 6 foot becuase i have dump truck with crappy cab protector. Next year going to have cab protector chopped on sides to allow for 8 foot straight cut pipes. Its a little loud dumped out the sides but i like it. Just posting to let you one piped guys know its not that big a deal to do. Im a man in my 40's and love making noise in my truck. The jakes are thundering loud as you can see in the video. I work 8 hour days. yeah if i was the over the road driver it might bother me. Motor is cat c12

The job you did looks nice, i like the clean look of straits and want to put on 8 inch one on mine but until i see/hear ones with the built in baffles i am not going to do it because i do deliveries in the early morning plus i already have ringing in my ears, which doesn't mean i can't enjoy seeing/hearing one going down the road.

I've got a single, short stack 7" bull hauler with the internal muffler on my lowboy truck. It's a little more throaty but not bad at all.

    Dirty-Low-Walker Thanks this.

Well to update, this setup is way to loud dumped at my doors. Even though I have a 10 inch resonator installed underneath the truck. Past 2 days I have been ha king my cab protector on my dump truck to install 8 foot miter cut stacks. I’ll be finished welding and cutting tomorrow. The pipes should be here tomorrow too. Still gonna be loud on the outside but not dumped at my windows of course. Plus it should look pretty #### nice. I’ll update

Hah, I drove one with pipes set up like that dual straights barely above the cab for 3 years.

    Now I really appreciate mufflers!

Yeah a little too loud for me dumped out the side windows. I have 8 foot miter cut straight stacks arriving tomorrow.
