Does anyone know how much better fuel economy can get with the addition of one of those wings on the sleeper for a flat nose Pete or Kenworth? I pull a van trailer with my 389 and just curious if it's worth it

It does not work you are better off adding arrow to the front of the trailer if it is yours. This would add 3/10 to 1/2 mile per gallon.

I also have heard from companies who have tested them and reported they don’t have any benefits for fuel efficiency.

Do you mean side skirts or what is an arrow for the trailer?

It’s not good. I installed a turbo wing on a 379 hauling dry vans and I gained maybe .3mpg on a good day and that’s with trailer side skirts added at the exact same time so who knows which is most important. I haul heavy and hilly but I get about 5.5mpg with a detroit series 60.

Its been proven it does not help but people keep doing it.

I beleive the actuality is that its been proven that an improper install does not help, there will be tinkering to do to get the air to scoop properly for your vehicle, this will change with varying trailers and kingpin settings too. It works, just not an easy set it and forget it.

If they didnt do anything, then there is no difference aerodynamically between a new cascadia and an old w900.

Well evidently you know something more than pretty much everyone else. What kind of changes need to be done to make it work? You are comparing something totally different when saying the Cascade is no different than the W900. Please explain how this can work so the OP can go out and spend money for it and prove it works. Would love to hear this.
