I am needing to add hazmat to work at a company I want to work for. But, I can't find on my local dmv website the actual price. It just says 5 bucks but that can't be right can it? I was under the impression it was around $100 to add it. Does anybody know?

    Well said,

Also, this background check can take 4wks or longer. So I suggest getting it start ASAP.

Just had Hazmat put on mine last week. I think the background check to getting my letter in the mail took about two weeks.

It took 4 weeks to get my paper from the TSA but you won't need it. They DMV can access all the info.

When do you pay that 90 dollar fee? And if you fail the test, do you have to re-pay the entire amount or what?

Go online and do your application you'll pay the fee then. The fee covers you background check. You can take the test as many times as needed and only pay the $90 once

    Dave75 Thanks this.

Oh that's good. I was worried there for a minute. Course, if I had paid that much then failed and went to retest and they said another 90 bucks, I'd have to laugh and walk out..lol

EDIT: Holy crap. I was looking at the TSA website and my state isn't a TSA Agent state. Which means I can't do any of it online, I have to go to the DMV....
