Adding Jake brake to 12.7 S60 Detroit DDEC IV

Wow , these truck stop stories are getting better all the time. ISX Jake's on a series 60 eh. Last time I checked the ISX has 2 cams and uses a dedicated cam lobe just for the Jake head.
Not even remotely possible there bud.

Wishfull thinking tho.

 

Like I said I heard it on the internet and figured it was lore.. meaning a story.. please read.all of a post before laying into a guy.

True true true.. I didn't figure it'd work.. built to many detroits to buy into it.. might try using big cam solinoieds in the next set of 60s I do and see if its better/worse..

 

I got a 14L Detroit and the Jake is just ok. I think it' just nature of the beast with these Detroit's. A 12.7 would be even worse because of the smaller displacement.

 

Im buying a 98 classic with a 12.7 deck lV and im looking for a set of solenoids... according to old owner he said they're worn out, where do I find these
