Adjusting Speedo on 02 KW

Easiest way is to find a chassis the same year as yours that had the same tire size you have now, but were installed at the factory. Unfortunatley the only dip switch settings we have are all tied to each chassis. There is no sheet that lists all possible dipswitch settings for different tire sizes so dont come down to hard on us dealers. Although a request to PACCAR engineering through a 'Support Net' case may be able to get some help. Ask your favorite parts guy to make such a request and see what they come up with. All the speedo changes I have been involved with in the past were with mech speedos and involved a simple gear change. Or could be something as simple as a change in the software!

 

JUST GET A DEALER TO HOOK UP THE COMPUTER TO it and set the proper parameters that you now have and the ecm will do the rest.

 

A new speedo comes with a chart see if the dealer has a speedo and photocopy the chart thats in the box.

 

I assure you there is no sheet of dip settings with any of our speedo heads!

 

Well mine came with one but who knows why then cause I am assuming you work at a dealer by your name so you would know better than I.

 

Well i never would have believed it but in the speedos there is now a booklet that has the dip settings. Now i havent sold on ein a few months or more, but remember retrieving the dip settings from the BOM for everyone i sold because they never had the booklets or any kind of info. But even i can now attest to there being a booklet in all the speedos that i have on my shelf.
