    12,500 on the steers.

Leave yourself wiggle room for the drives.

I drive a reefer, so I'm a bit heavier in the nose and I keep mine slid all the way back. When my drives are at 34k, my steers are at 12k with full tanks of fuel. I never move it.

Theyre not wrong... if it can carry the weight

And they dont mind shifting their pin 2 times a day

How is that legal? You look +2500 on the trailer? If the axles aren't spread and at the 40' point, that would be illegal for California.

2,500 on the trailer? What are you talking about?

1st he stated it’s a spread so 34,500 is A ok, 2nd with a closed tandem set up he would only be 500 over on the trailer.

Typo, but still illegal for the nanny state that is California.

I usually shoot for as close to a 32/32 balance between drives and trailer with the axles at the 40.

Beleive it or not, there are loads that stay 100% outside of california.

Its pretty clear im poking fun at most of the people in this thread

And taking it further, thats a truck with a 285 wb, with my kingpin there and a 24# trailer (kingpin setting) i have a headache rack AND can run 9'6" in front of my trailer.

    GreenPete359 Thanks this.
