Call the receiver. Sometimes if they want it enough, they'll wait for you to get there. Doesn't help you much with a reload but you could get empty and re positioned to get a jump on the next load.

Wish I could, but I will run out of time about an hour out of the receiver. That's how tight the window was for me.

Tank-Runs to Phoenix usually tight. At least thats my exprience. If you haven't been to Phoenix yard don't expect much. Enjoy the heat hear they have a bit of it this week.

Where'd you find those? I know nothing about linen shopping.

Sitting in the armpit of I-40 in Winslow, AZ. Heading to bed, gotta be up just after midnight to finish the run to California. Made Albuquerque last night and Winslow as planned. Looks like I will make it to the consignee tomorrow as planned. Of course, won't be picking anything up heading home until Wednesday, out of hours again! :biggrin_2559:

Made it to consignee on Tuesday with about 90 minutes to spare. Get untarped, strapped, chained, everything put away in record time. Have 30 minutes on 70 and 14 left for the day. Oh no! I have to wait to get unloaded. You have got to be kidding! So sit for 10 minutes, tick tock tick tock, and the unloader starts pulling off the coils. He pulls one, I put away equipment. BAM BAM, done with 8 minutes left to pull out and drive 3 miles to park.
Get up to gate, some dumb SOB parked his truck blocking to exit while he gets unloaded. A roadway driver and me can't get out. TICK TOCK TICK TOCK.
Luckily he is almost finished and then pulls up to let us out. Sign out and rollin! Get to the corner, BEEP BEEP, YOU ARE OUT OF HOURS OF SERVICE.
10 minutes later I am parked where I planned on parking for the night. No HOS violations! (Dont ask me how I did it, just know that it was legit! Well, sort of.)
