Well, second try at this today....

Made it to Urbana, IL last night. Delivery was to a condo in a residential area so driving in strange streets let alone parking at night was out of the question, so I parked in the Walmart. called the contact in the morning and he confirmed directions and "problems" in getting into the location. Wasn't that big of a deal, but glad I didn't drive in at night with no directions.

Today, headed to Portage, IN to pick up from Farraloy. Yep, headed to Kansas and Agco. Gave me until Friday morning to get there? Huh? I'll be there tomorrow afternoon. We'll see what I pull out of there or from Beloit.

Easy run to Hesston, KS and AGCO. Deliver no issue. Funny thing, sent a msg to backup FM, mine is out for military weekend, about my new arrival time and he sends back, will set you available for 0500. HUH? I said I would be there at 1600. So I get there, send arrival msg, and half way through unloading get a preplan, for 0500. So as I am leaving I notice two Roehl trailers preloaded. Hhhmmmm, send in my MT and whatdayouknow, one of those trailers is mine. Of course, shipping has left for the day and won't be back until 0700. I send in msg asking about permits. Won't be ready until after 0800. So I guess trying to get out early tomorrow is out of the question.
It's a two stop OD load to Illinois.

You know its funny when your wife knows its extra money before you do. Told her about this load earlier and she said YAY, more money. I was like uh, oh ya it is. I was too worried about getting down the road and not about the money. SHAME ON ME!

That's how I got from Marshfield to near Baltimore a few days ago, pay adds up quick, and taking to long way around is cool, plus pick your own fuel stops, and your own routing if it's not mandated on the permits.:biggrin_255:

Sounds like you have/had a bad DM. They should be fighting for you.

I pretty much gave up trying to get Detention pay....I have only gotten it twice...the rest of the time they find some excuse to deny it...so I don't bother unless its for more than 2 hours...its only 10 bucks anyway..

I can appreciate that, I didn't mind fighting for my guys. Then again I don't work there any more so maybe that wasn't a good idea.
