gps...yay we can get lost faster now...(if drivers would realize GPS is just a tool not the #### gospel it wouldn't be so bad) nothing beats the Map...Well Google maps is an awesome tool along with microsofts streets and trips...

Yeah, google maps. Last time I tried to edit a location from the middle of an intersection where it wasn't to up the street where it was, they argued with me and ended up deleting it entirely. Good job, google.

Thats why I say its only a tool...just like the atlas and my favorite microsoft streets and trips...along with my gps...I use all of them and I usually don't run into issues...I only run into issues when I hurry and don't reference one or the other

    UPDATE:

Delivered my load in Holly, MI. Got there at 7AM like it said. Sat behind 6-7 trucks to be unloaded..... starting at 8 AM. Finally get my turn at 11AM and the fork lift driver has to go inside to double check my paperwork. 15 minutes later, unloaded and on my way to pickup.
Pickup in Jackson, MI. Had an appointment at 11AM, uhh missed that one, but she was cool and sent me in to get loaded. Tarped up, 8 or 9th load in a row getting good and tired of it at same time :biggrin_25523: Off to Milwaukee. Oh, but running low on the 14. Time it perfect and get lucky... Make it to Gary and park with 2 minutes left.
Get up at O Dark thirty... Too early for you city folk :biggrin_25522: and make it to WI in time for rush hour and accidents on I894. Get to my location and I have the place to myself. Take my time unloading picking up, etc. Even got to re-roll my tarps while they were on break. Of course I pull out of the warehouse and now there are 4 trucks waiting. :biggrin_25522: I got here first!!!
So now I get instructions to Dead head to Gary. HHMMMM, OK on my way. To make a long story short. I am to relay a load from Gary to Louisville, Kentucky. It gets to Gary at 7 PM just as my 14 hours expire. This day was an almost total waste! 5 1/2 hours of potential driving time gone.
So today, get up at WAY to F___ing early to make it down to Louisville at 10 AM. Get my next load to pick-up at Russelville, KY. Make it down here and get loaded pretty quickly in comparison to some others I chatted with. Checked in at gate and told to hit the scale and go. No waiting in the holding pen or nothing. BAD part, ran out of my 14 again. Got BOL and then parked in holding pen with 2 minutes left. Man I just seem to run up on that mark too often lately.
This load delivers on Friday and then I am set up for some much needed home time. Will have been out 20 days and wife needs a break.
Still loving it, even tho I b!tch a bit about some of the nonsense of flatbedding. oh well. Catch you all later next week for another update.....

Yeah I heard we get loaded quick at Russellville now, something about a detention time show down or something.

Yea, it was kinda strange. Checked in and she said straight to the scales. First time here so I wasn't aware of the 10 other trucks sitting in the pen waiting to go in. Looks like TMC and Maverick have to sit for a while. The O/O's that come here a lot even have to sit. Good to see Roehl put a foot down, if that's what happened.

Another Midwest driver I know claims he got there and they wouldn't load him and that his dispatcher asked him to hold out there and start detention time and he said he was there for 2.5 days waiting. Supposedly he was asked to sort of take one for the team to solve a problem down there. Not sure if it's true though.

All I know is shortly after that I was there and they asked what cb channel I could be reached on and I heard someone say that's Roehl and then she said nevermind head up to the scale.
