So I do PO loadout trailers. Picked up in Ontario CA going to Ellenwood GA. It was a Dart trailer.. I honestly don't like touching the Dart trailers because of the super singles.

So I do a Pre Trip and everything looks OK. So pull out and hear a little back feed into the parking brake. Nothing major but I noticed it. (brake chamber possibly Hyundai Trailer)

I book a load to El Paso and then to Chicago. In route to Chicago the backfeed gets worse. In Chicago and book a load to Georgia. Shipper ask me to slide the tandems. That's when anytime I pull the parking brake the trailer immediately loses all the air. It wasn't a brake chamber.

Broker agrees to reimburse me for getting it fixed. Ask for a revised rate con but never sends it. 570 dollars later and lost the day fixing this. Have an email from the supervisor stating they will reimburse me Now they say I am SOL.

My mistake was to repair this on my dime before getting a rate con. But is there any other recourse I have available since I have an email stating they will reimburse me?

Broker is IEL out of Cincinnati OH.
Irony in the name Integrity Express Logistics

I don't have a food answer for you aa far as what to do but I've got to ask why you agreed to do it like that instead of just having someone else pay the shop?

Bummer it is Integrity Express Logistics, I've done a lot of loads for them. Can't trust anyone in this business.

The Broker asked for me to pay for it. I guess I trusted them in doing the right thing. The shop that did the work told me that they see alot of Hyundai's with this problem.

If anything lesson learned. After this I got a loadout from Georgia to La Salle IL. I was extra on my pre trip and busted out the depth gauge. 2 tires below acceptable range.

You have an email saying they will reimburse you could always take them to small claims court. Yoy might be able to file on their bond. Im not an o/o so i dont know the specifixs about that

I wouldn't trust most brokers, they don't have final say on anything, they need approval.

You could remove the good tank and replace it with the old one.

Yeah I dunno man, sounds like you bought yourself a air tank. I would not be giving that Trl back to them with your air tank. Sounds childish, but it’s important to hold people accountable for holding up their end. Once you give them back the equipment it’s over they are putting you in the rear view.

Do u still have the old tank? If you do, when u get to delivery, I would take that new one off and put their piece of #### tank back on. They had the option to solve the problem and chose not to while bending over their contractor. Bad Business. Time to give them the same ### poking they gave you.
