In a rut right now, honestly looking for advice from more experienced drivers. I just quit my first Class A job. It was with a major beverage company in upstate NY. I did local delivery for seven months. In that time I racked up three incidents (non-DOT reportable) and one non-preventable DOT accident.
My first incident was on my second day out of training... backed into a stop sign, no damage to tractor or trailer. I wasn't experienced with backing and had to do it into a side road off a road with two way traffic, and lots of it.
My second was I jacknifed... I was in a tight spot, should have just backed out but I was stupid and did a u-turn. Too tight, banged up the cab.
Third was last week... really stupid. I was delivering to a gas station trying to get into position to back into where we would usually park at that chain. I tried to straighten out and get into a better position and was blind to a sign, scratched the trailer. Should have GOAL.
With the company I was with if you have 4 of any type of preventable incident/accident within 2 years you'll get a safety termination. I figured it was better to cut my losses, move on, and try a different driving job. I'd like to do regional or OTR.
I also have felonies unfortunately... I was talking with May Trucking but they're not hiring me. Any advice? I'll be based our of Las Vegas, NV.
Advice for a felon with accidents in a rut right now.

Unless your previous employer reports to DAC/Hireritght etc I’d only put down the reportable accident. Pull your PSP report and see what’s on it.
As far as your felonies go, it’ll depend on how old and the seriousness of each.
Your choice to share of course but without some basic details it’ll be hard for anyone to give you honest advice.77fib77 Thanks this. -
I'm diagnosed with Bipolar 1 and had some really bad episodes where I did regrettable things that put me in jail/prison. My felonies are assault, vandalism, and robbery (nonviolent). Things are much better now, I completed parole a year ago without issue and have stayed on medication and out of trouble.

There's extenuating details and circumstances I can go into more detail on, but that's the basic summary of it.

Local delivery is some crazy tight stuff. I do much of New England and upstate NY so I can sympathize. Don’t worry, Chinatown will be along with ideas for jobs for you.

Did the beverage company know you're on medication? If not, keep that to yourself.
I wouldn't have reported backing into that sign if there was no damage.bryan21384 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the positivity... I pulled my PSP and the crash doesn't show up, but instead it's a Level 1 with violations from the same time period. Kind of weird. Anyone know what that might be about?

This reads a lot like a Western Express possibility.
Dry van, or flatbed.
