New to the forum and tractor trailer driving in general so i figured id post up on here and see what everyone has to say. I've been running 26ft box trucks doing home delivery for the past few years and ive been relatively successful. Have four crews that run trucks daily. Recently got my MC number and just last week got my class a license. Found an old single axle 98' Ford A9500 with a c12 cat that i purchased for a good price. I live in the pittsburgh, pa area and was wondering if anybody has any ideas/suggestions as to where i can haul as an owner-op with next to no experience. To further my dilemma, i need to be home nightly due to the nature of my business. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
advice for a new owner-op in PA

What type of trailer do you plan on pulling? That single axle is really going to limit what you can do. Seems like a tall order to just jump in head first like that. Best to know what you're going to haul and where you can get the work before buying equipment. Hopefully you didn't burn too much $ on that tractor there's lots of reasons why it was cheap.
Ruthless Thanks this. -
Pittsburgh PA + A single axle Ford = great $$$ doing P&D (Guys in Chicago Make Great $$$ Home nightly and burn maybe 75 gallons of fuel per week)
