Advice for air conditioning during downtime

    Idle it. Red brake set tractor brakes not.

    goad I went to a company where they only want my truck shut off when I’m gonna be out of it all day.

    I remember when I first started driving in the USA I just could not understand why so many drivers left their trucks running. All that diesel just being used and generally if during the winter months the temps were not to cold I would not leave my engine running while I slept. In the colder places like Utah, Idaho, Montana, Minnesota, then yes had no choice but to keep the engine running at least while I was in the cab. Summer time same thing if it was not to hot at night I would not run the engine the exception was Phoenix, Las Vegas, Mesquite, with temps well above 100 ° f

    Not these days. Newer trucks don't operate that way.

    Nope.....newer trucks won't do that either.
    Best advice has been given already. Do NOT work for a company that will play idle games with you. Get it in writing BEFORE you sign on.
