As with any engine get it checked out by reputable mechanic
-
Yeah do the Due Diligence on the truck, don't get emotional over it, it is just a truck.
-
Warm it up....draw an oil sample

My 2012 Cascadia with an ISX is about to clock 600,000. 7.3 mpg avg for the life of the truck. What would you like to know?
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Want to know if you got your $27k ready for your rebuild? I have yet to hear of ANY ISX making it past 650k....not hating, just saying77fib77 and Socal Xpress Thank this.

@bzinger made it to 700,00. Guess you learn something new everyday.
I think his was $22K, but it also included redoing the gear housing, the bell housing, a new DPF, and all new clutch.
So not hating, just saying, you seem to be another guy talking out your ###.Last edited: Mar 2, 2019

I wouldn't be scared of it for the right price .
Mine is vintage 2013 and has been a great truck other than the Cummins Carbon packing issue , Cummins updated the cylinder packs after mine was built so you shouldn't have that issue .Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
