And don't beat yourself up over it.

For the most part I float because after driving a slow very very slow trk all day you get lazy not too mention sore. But every once in a while I have to use the clutch and yes I do double clutch because thats how I was taught in school and it never left me.

My company sold "my" truck and I've been floating from truck to truck untill I get a new permenent unit.

Somedays I couldn't find the right gear with a roadmap.

It's just a rhythm you have to get in to.
Going up: clutch neutral clutch gear
Going down: clutch neutral rev clutch gear

Maybe you're trying to do it too fast?

Another thing that helped me was to sit in the truck when it was off, and practice downshifting. It helped with coordination (clutch neutral RPM clutch gear), and learning where all the gears were (say the gear in your head).
