These types of threads are funny now. Cannot help to wonder what the @#&!
How much experience do you have and what type of trucks have you gotten said experience?
I own a Volvo with a D13 but wouldn't recommend 1 to a newbie.bowhunter67 and Indy12 Thank this. -
Well I've drove a kenworth 13 spd Cummins red block. I'm driving an 18 spd Cummins red block.
I just want others option, I'm eyeing a freightliner with a Detroit 60 series. It's a starter truck 2007. -
I am assuming you have been briefed on or have a need for those many gearing? You bring to me heavy haul offroad or seriously heavy haul under permit (Even containers are sometimes heavy. There are not exactly the sort of transmissions you would put on Werner on a dollar account to do nothing today except to idle on the job.
If you can answer what do you need a truck for, then you are well on your way. Dreams are nice. But this is strictly business. You can put away the druthers and rather until; later next month.Indy12 Thanks this. -
No I haven't been briefed on why so many gears, can you Elaborate on why ?
I haul steel... -
bowhunter67, Indy12 and Socal Xpress Thank this.

Knowledge.
That is the most important component.
Business.
Road law.
Trucking specific record keeping.
Income tax.
Etc.
When you know all there is to know, it's time to retire.
Few threads on here from people buying there 1st truck, starting business.
Good luckSavageMuffin and Indy12 Thank this. -
Indy12 Thanks this.

Thank u all for the comments I surely do appreciate it .
God bless and be safe out there -
Buying the truck is the easy part. Learning everything you're going to need to know to run that truck is the hard part.
Indy12 Thanks this.
