advice on FM cassette and CD player radio

Crutchfield.com has good deals. I had sirius for 8 years, loved it! since I've figure out how to use my smart phone I stream what I listen to thru it, hooked to the aux input of the head unit.

What's a cassette?

 

It's totally worth it to get Sirius Xm. I've been with them since 2004 and I will just about leave my phone before I leave my Sirius. It has everything from every music genre to news and if you like NFL football, you will enjoy Sirius. It's like Sunday ticket without the picture. Every NFL game is on there. That's what sold me.

 

is it a casette radio or a cd radio??????

you can buy those cassette adapters used for portable cd players. plug your cd player into the cassette. i'm pretty sure it's the same aux. wire as phones.

all satellite radios have aux. ports. should work the same. and if your looking to buy a new radio. aux ports are pretty much standard these days. unless it's a real CHEAPO.

I can't imagine trucking without XM radio. I've had it since 2003. You can even forgo the CD player part and put all of your music on your phone, iPod or thumb drive depending on the radio you choose. Your CDs will take a beating in the truck anyway. So buy the radio you like with Satellite controls, buy the XM or Sirius tuner, and you're good to go. TA has a package deal on sale for 199 right now. I paid $250 for just the Alpine XM receiver in 03.

 

I prefer the portable kind over in dash XM/Sirius.

They do make some Cassette and CD Radios in one, but doubt they would fit in most trucks as thry are double the standard height.

 

Ya they became obsolete.Theres a few trks at my company with a radio/cassette.I won't drive them.I'd be lost if I can't listen to my cds.

 

If you're on the road most the time you should invest in an XMradio RTR.So many stations to choose from and you don't lose service with a certain station like you do a radio.

 

Xm radio is dope I admit it keeps you informed and all into the politics of our country. Also down loading hours of music into the S3 from youtube using an app will keep you happy.
