Hello Drivers: I just recently bought a truck on E-bay, Got a good deal, I thought, until I received it without a passenger seat:biggrin_2552: Not A big deal but the 5/16 air line for the air ride seat was cut and a screw was put in it's place:biggrin_25510: Now I have a leak so bad I can't even build enough pressure to move the truck an inch. Can one of you guys please tell me what I can use to cap off this threaded pipe sticking out of the floor? I searched all day for a compression cap at all the hardware stores but no luck. Will this even work?

Thanks for your help I really do appreciate it.:yes2557:

Why not just add one of those air blow gun - to clean out your truck interior? They're cheap and you can re-route the hose under carpet / floor mat to some place out of the way. Kill two birds with one stone.

Go ant truck dealer and get a new a new replacement fitting that goes through the floor with a plug fitting for it and a roll of the white teflon tape. Go under the truck and remove the fitting and then replace the fitting or however it need to be removed from the truck and replace it with the new fitting and have the plug with teflon tape wrapped around it about 3 times installed in it. It should not leak any more. Then go find a new seat but never buy a truck off of EBay until you or a mechanic have inspected it!

Some advice for next time. If you have an air line with no end on it that is leaking, fold the last few inches of line back onto itself and ziptie it togather. The kink in the line will make a great TEMPORARY fix.

I second that. I've bought them and installed them in several company trucks which of course you have to leave behind. Make's cleaning worth while though.

Mix dish-washing soap with water in a spray bottle....

That's what I do....These old ears of mine have tinnitus and I can't tell if it's air hissing out, or the tinnitus...There's no mistaking bubbles though....
