Do what I said, when you come of 678 to Atlantic Avenue and you are headed west on Atlantic right after where the conduit comes in make a left on Logan, take that a block south of liberty, make a right, then make a right on Berriman. It’s doable.

If it’s a drivable machine and you can load yourself I’d even consider double parking on Liberty at the corner of Berriman, load it throw your chains and be on your way.

Take a look at google earth addresses and see what you are getting into before you get there ball park.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
I like the Petro in Bordentown, NJ when needing parking close to NNJ and NYC
bit south of 78 though... close to the NJT, north right into Newark.
Hopefully the Cross Bronx is better than when I was there a few weeks ago. 3 hrs to go from the Throgsneck to the GWB... 6 miles, 3 hrs...x1Heavy Thanks this. -
I'd go straight to the customers location in Jersey. Park right in front of the fence, so they have to wake me up to go to work.
BigDog Trucker, mustang190, Bean Jr. and 2 others Thank this. -

I always hear about "it's not safe somewhere". Guess I've been lucky all these years. When I was in the moving business. My customers usually were upper level management. So they lived on the quiet, safe, low crime, side of town. And when I did a logistics load. The puck up or delivery was usually. In the safe, quiet, low crime, highly patrolled, industrial side of town. More times than not, that's where the cops hide out to sleep at night.

I was ready to chew nails when I hit the GWB southbound One of the jersey gals showed me a bar on a corner not far from there. Drinks took care of that night.
The people were literally standing around in the middle painted lines making friends. What a day. They kept coming to me to see what the radio had to say. So I just turned it up, hooked the pa and left the cab windows open.
It was one of those bad days. I was about ready to go postal as we used to say back then.
Reminds me of a very old 80's movie featuring LA construction traffic. I forget the title but that one comes to mind. -
l haven't been across the Mississippi since November 1982. l didn't mid Dixie but New England caused me to promise myself to never truck over there again. Those winters where the snow was so deep that intake stacks were blocked, engines were stalled and drivers were being found frozen to death, days later.
x1Heavy Thanks this.
