Hey evryone. I started with prime in mid november 2012. I had my cdl already no experience tho, so I was assigned to a trainer for 40000 miles. Two weeks ago I hae about 8000 left but had a minor inccident no police involved or anything. Did some damage to a cannope in a gas station.prime added added 20000 miles to my training so now I'm bummed out. So the question is should I stick it out another 6 weeks or move on? I'm about to complete 3 months experience that's how long training has been. Advice?

Well as you are not an A seat yet you should stick it out, then you can say you left Prime as an A seat, if you choose to leave.

Please go to Werner or Swift. We don't need G.O.A.L on our mirrors.

I don't think anyone outside of Prime would even know what A or B seat means. As for sticking it out, you want to leave trucking all together or you want to try and find another trucking company that will hire someone with partially completed training and an accident on record?

I concur! Why would you want to throw away those 3 months?

Just guessing, but I think you might be better staying with Prime until you finish training and then get some solo experience. Especially since they are nice enough to allow you to continue training, even with additional miles. You may be bummed out becuase of the addition of the 20000 miles training, but being bummed out is better then being unemployed and fired. Since you are still in training and had a mishap, they could have terminated you.

Besides I dont think many, if any, other companies would even look at you. Since you did not finish training and had a incident during that time. Although I may be wrong. Think about it real hard, then make your own decision, its your future.

It happened while my trainer was at home. I was sitting at a truck stop waiting. He asked me to take the truck to his house I was bobtail. Since I didn't know my way around town I took a wrong turn and had to bust a bit** but my dumb ##### went under that canopee. I was considering going to Melton. They only ask for 2months otr experience. I take full responsability for the inccident but think 20000 miles is exagerated.

The trainer left you in the truck alone and told you to drive it?!?!?!?! This bozo shouldn't be a trainer.
