    Hello,
My wife and I wish to drive again. There is a Registered NotFor Profit Organization that we would like to donate our driving skills and servicesto. Our plan is to help the organization purchase a rig and dry van, then we woulduse Load Boards and / or Brokers for loads. We are both retired and justwant to run the roads, and do not need to go home on the weekends. Wedrove for JB Hunt several years ago.

Help would be appreciated in the following fields:
Brokers that can get us loads
We need to purchase a rig and 53 foot van
Looking for Financingcompanies / options with a VERY liberal qualifying standards for the Not forProfit (we are willing to guarantee the payments)

Any information on using load boards or brokers,

IF there is a company that would sign us on as O/O, we have several yearsexperience but nothing in the past 3 years. CONTACT US.

    Thanks

If it's totally for a non profit org. then why not run your own authority?

Do not see what a NON PROFIT organization would want with being in the trucking business the incurred costs outway any benefits to them.

Sorry but this one strikes me as humorous. I can see the vultures behind their keyboards now excited at the prospect. Someone looking to do some "non profit" trucking. Like there are thousands of those already and they are trying to make profits And the kicker looking for some easy money to fund this venture... ..wow.. non profit trucking should be the easy part but borrowing money to finance equipment for such a thing?? I don't get it. If you have something to give and the means, then do it. This is one strange idea.. I get that the profits all go to the charitable org, what I don't get is how such a wild market as loadboards would ever support such a thing. A real stretch there...

If you just want to drive, then why not drive for somebody like the RedCross. Keep the charity money here in the USA until we solve all our own problems, then help the other countries.

few things you need to keep in mind
The W-9 you will get from the companies that you will be Leased to or getting loads from will be in the owner of the truck or the person who signed the lease agreement
and these W-9's that you will get at the end of the year are as real as life & death some one has to pay the tax's on that money
you can run but you can't hide from the W-9's and an average tax payer allowed up to $10,000 a year to deduct as donations the best I can recall.
I would advise you to consult with a Tax attorney before you start this venture before you can say what happened you will rack up $100,000 a year easy and you will have to deal with W-9 Boogie man and they will be growling like a Grez. looking to get in your Biz.
Even non profit companies are watched and monitored by the IRS and other entities to make sure that they are Legit.
This is a Big whole your are digging up so make sure you don't fall in it by asking a bunch of chicken haulers like me on how start a non profit canoe club.
Get advise from some one that knows about that kind of nightmare Heck most of us out there can barley pay the bills and feed the dogs where did you get the idea that you can donate big money to charity Are going to haul Freight for a buck a mile and compete with another chicken hauler cut his throat by bidding cheaper so you can feed the hungry? what a bout when your fellow chicken haulers Are Starved to Death? you don't mind if they starve a little do yah? I guess you maybe thinkin that most of us are too fat anyway and we could loose a few pounds Do Ya?:biggrin_25510:

sorry but i have lil faith in humanity and supposed nonprofit organizations if any one gets paid to do anything there than it isnt a nonprofit IMO i have seen nonprofit leaders homes and there much nicer than the people there supposed to be helping and driving expensive cars. non profit trucking would cause a bigger pay downturn in the already low paying field it is now.
