It’s nothing wrong with getting a second opinion on anything, some truckers feel like they know too much to learn something new or evening get an opinion from different people and that false. My family has nothing to do with this I already got advice form them, any smart person would already know that lol . When you going in business you have to communicate with more then just you family to get a better view of how things work in this world. Just by your response I see what type of person you are , keep living you got a lot to learn

Quickest way to blow 80,000 grand.
Buying a truck and becoming a owner operator
With zero experience.
There's been people with a hundred times
More money than you that lost it all in these trucks.
And most of them had experience in the industry.
You got better odds at the blackjack table.
Lease a truck from somebody where you can
Come and go as you please.
Keep saving money.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -

Ok. First off, I bought my first truck in 79, taught myself to drive on back roads, and have never been a company driver. So if I can do it you can too. Driving a truck is the easy part, and you can do that already. Now the hard part. Learning the business end is going to take time, and you will make mistakes. We all do and have, but you have to learn quick or the wolves will have you for supper. Learn your lanes and what those lanes pay, and don't fall in that trap of a good paying load that drops you off in the middle of nowhere. You can do this if you pay attention and ignore the bullsh.t. You will hear plenty of that. I don't know much, but I will be glad to share with you what I do know. You will be way ahead to lease on with someone first. Then go on from there. Hope this helps.

Where do you live? What truck do you have? What type of trailer do you want to pull? Do you know anything about load boards?
Edit: You might have Progressive quote you for your own authority and get an idea what your up against going that way.Last edited: May 2, 2019

I won't be sugar coating this because you don't seem to understand the basics.
Do not be offended by my comments.
Your insurance will be very high, you are a very high risk driver because of your track record of multiple training over a long period of time and a lack of any skills gathered from driving. Going to different schools tells me and others that you struggled with the basics and squeak passing the road test.
And to be honest, bluntly honest if you have family doing this, go to them and work under their authority. Make a deal with them to get your truck on the road because I doubt if any company will work for you. -
These threads crack me up.
Some people have too much time on their hands.adayrider Thanks this. -
