I’m from Kansas, right now including fuel surcharge it’s about 2.56.. $2.66 a mile if you include the annual bonus on loaded miles which goes up 0.01 every year with no cap .. empty miles is 2.06 including fuel surcharge. Usually a 70/30 ratio loaded and empty .. they state average is 4400 a week in pneumatics after fuel and Oakley fees. I’ve talked to guys showing me settlements where they’re grossing 300k year to year and netting about 70% of that. Doesn’t seem like a bad deal

Dahlsten has a shop in Hutchinson and they do a lot of food grade. Their rates should be pretty decent. They’ve had a lot of the same guys leased there for a long time.Deere hunter, Cat sdp, Feedman and 1 other person Thank this. -
The free blower and pto alone would be worth it

Pulling a pneumatic, aero or hood isn’t going to really be that much of a difference. Between the trailer dragging wind, your PTO run time and the weights you’re pulling when loaded, it’s not going to matter in the grand scheme of things. What will count is your tractor weight. Especially if you’re wanting to drag one of Oakley’s big 4 pots, as those trailers are pushing 12000 pounds give or take a few hundred. W9s tend to be heavier than most others, but I see more than a few hooked to Oakley’s equipment.
66seven Thanks this. -
