You make a good point . Fatigue causes a lack of alertness long before you are at the point of dozing off . This is an issue drivers really need to weigh in on .

if I'm tired, I get off the road... safely. I was actually late for a load for the first time because of that reason. Better late, than take the chance of a crash!

Dont worry KMac, I'm not running in DE. But you may want to be extra carefull when you enter PA or NJ. I"m in both places usually in the wee hours of the morning. But with all the good advice I got here you can rest assured I won't be falling asleep at the wheel ! Now, relax and enjoy your ride!

Nothing is that hot Susan and it will all be there , waiting tomorrow. Get it on the side and do what you have too.
I swear I killed a pedestrian on the interstate to this day, I hit the mirage, stopped , looked for it and even called the cops, never found a body but I can still see his face, all because I was too tired. Glad he wasn't real, but what if he was?

If anyone ever gives you crap about being late because you took a nap, just ask them what the receiver's policy is on picking their load up piece by piece out of the ditch.
