Sounds like the truck engine was in trouble from the start. Add 6 gallons of oil is alots when the truck holds 10 or 11. How does someone only add 4 gallons of oil and move the truck or start the engine without low oil pressure warning. Hate to say it but the owner is probably screwed. Unless their is a lemon law but those are usually only for new cars and pickup trucks. It easy to say sue them but you have pay a lawyer and probably won't win on a used truck. They are sold As Is without any warranty. Maybe the engine has an extra warranty. I had a 2011 truck that had 600,000 miles parts and labor warranty from Detroit Diesel.

Lawyer won’t help if you bought the truck “as is”.
Other than that, you would have to prove in someway that it was something peterbilt did to make the engine blow. This is a terrible situation for you and I feel you. Good luck on trying to resolve the situation with the dealer. I’m sure they will try to help you out best they canDmitriC Thanks this.
