After having a new turbo installed and charge air cooler cleaned this leak appeared

    I had a turbo replaced and charge air cooler cleaned at a Kenworth ship and soon after I left this started leaking. I took it back to them and they said it was from the AC and it was just an O ring they needed to replace. After they replaced the O ring and ushered me out ASAP because it was end of day Friday it started leaking again. Is this actually an AC part, with that green fluid?

    Yes that is an A/C leak. If the O-ring did not fix the leak then the line or the cooler
    are the problem.

    Is the cooler the charge air cooler or is it different for the AC?
    Will this affect the performance of the truck in any way other than not having air conditioning?

    It is the A/C Condenser not cooler. Eventually all of your 134A will leak out. If everything works properly the A/C will not work and that is all that will happen. If the switches don't work you could burn up compressor and have much bigger issues. Get the leak fixed and don't run A/C until you do so.
    It will not cause issues with engine performance. It could be bad O-ring, bad line, or condenser. Some have two o-rings on the line.

    How much did you end up paying kenworth out the door for the new turbo/air cooler?

    For the charge air cooler cleaning (about $300) new air filter($165), actuator, and turbo, and labor it came to $8800.
    Since they broke my AC, I don't know how much more it will be for that. Hopefully it's just the line.

    The green is leak detection dye in the compressor oil. Your AC system is going to need service ( vacuum system add oil and recharge the Freon) I don’t think the dealership did anything you can’t change an oring without dumping the Freon.

    They definitely did. It was fine when I took it in. When I was having the work done I asked a tech who went back and asked, he said they were just finishing up charging the AC or something to that effect. I asked if that was a normal part of replacing the turbo and cleaning the charge air cooler, he said he didn't know as he wasn't the guy working on it.

    They probably had to remove the condensor to replace the ATA.

    With a leak like that how the bloody hell did they not pick up on it? Kinda hard to pull and hold the required 30" HG vacuum with an open system.
