Nothing better for you than learning to drive in the "dreaded" Northeast. After that, everything else seems like a cake walk and you're always wondering what everyone is always crying about the Northeast for.

Well it's been a few years now for me, but I preferred the direct route to the CT state line. If the radio was saying that the GW Bridge was messed up in some way, or the Cross Bronx, then yeah, up 17 to 287 to CT. OR, if I could at least make it to "the cork screw", up to 87 I'd go as well. Sometimes it is worth the extra bit o' time and miles going the longer way.

I think so as well. It readies one for Chicago, and the Dan Ryan, or Miami, or DC, or L.A. and just about any other major city area. Traffic is traffic, people are people, dolts are dolts. About the only real differences in the areas? Peoples dialect and how often they wave a salute at you!

When you get grandmas' to flip you off? You made it BIG TIME!

Im penciled in to start in Minnesota in Febuary. I'll be driving the Truck with Skis instead of tires. Hauling a sled. Pulled by 12 Reindeer.

The Traffic is minimum between midnight and 5 am so run going up or down 95 is best at night between Virginia and New York

Run at night, sleep during the day. If you can handle Baltimore/DC, you can handle almost anything. If you park at The Maryland House service plaza, make sure you're parked in a designated parking spot, not on the shoulder of the ramps. They (cops) DO wake you up and give you a ticket....

If you are running 95 and don't have any deliveries in Baltimore or DC, just skip them. US301 is your friend.

From South to North, jump of 95 at the 104 in Virginia, Ruther Glen and follow it north, it will merge with 50 between DC and Annapolis, follow over the Bay Bridge then stay on 301 when the road divides and jump back on 95 in Delaware.

Heading south, just reverse it, get off at Exit 1 in Delaware toward Middletown, SR896, it wi turn into 301 and just follow it south.

Northeast driving requires more patience and a few more button hook turns, but as with most things in life, if you do it enough, you will get better as you go.

Just because you go national vs northeast doesn't mean they won't run you northeast all the time.
