Does it really take years to research which trucks are the best value?
Shouldn't really take more than a day.
After years of research I have determined which truck depreciates the least

how about a late 40s EL model mack,444 red head gas motor. still around today sold it to old moon at the walcott truckstop in the late 60s. it was so hard to drive made you cry every time you drove it. used it as a poo spreader in the fields. i do not think it has been restore yet. it would be worth about today what it cost new in the 40s. its just hard to figure out what is the best truck money wise, because they are used in so many ways. be safe out there

I think I will amend my answer after rereading the opening statement by the OP. He doesn't specify if its depreciation to the general public or to the truck owner. I didn't buy my truck the way it is, it was a labor of love. I am not done with it yet its still in progress just like day one. If I ever get done it will be what I always wanted. At this point I'm 18 months into it and worked it along the way. What its actually worth won't even come closeto getting it bought from me. So its the truck that you love the most, that is part of you because of the blood sweat and tears you have left on it along the way
