You removed the thermostat or replaced it?Rideandrepair Thanks this.
-
ran it without both to make sure they weren't sticking closed.Rideandrepair and BigBob410 Thank this.

You put new ones in? The reason I ask is free flowing coolant will not stay in the block long enough to remove heat.

I called Detroit Radiator this morning, they tell me my OEM is three core. OEM Paccar radiator from my local KW dealer was quoted at $3203 CDN ($2511 USD) and Detroit Radiator 5 core is $1474 USD ($1886 CDN) plus shipping. No brainer there, will now have to check on shipping option and cost.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Don's had some very good information, and probably my best option. 3 core but 3/4" dimpled tubing, which provides more surface area than a 4 core 5/8" tubing or a 5 core 1/2" tubing. They are made in Edmonton and he can ship it up to me from there. He's going to get back to me on the cost, but sounds very reasonable if I assemble myself with new gaskets and bolts. Thanks again for the info, much appreciated.Flint1, Rideandrepair, Stray_Dog and 1 other person Thank this.
