Would it be helpful if I and a few of the other techs here created a thread that goes over the basics of aftertreatment systems? A lot of the small questions here seem like they can be answered if there was a sticky'd thread that goes over the topic both at a glance and in-depth.
I'm just curious, I'd be more than willing to write it up, and I'm sure some of the others would like to contribute as well.
I wouldn't mind making a Paccar MX for Dummies thread too.

Great idea. It'd be useful for other tech's as well. I switched to off highway equipment just as the DEF systems started coming out and as you probably know, heavy equipment doesn't use DEF (yet), so it'd be nice to be able to read up on it a little bit ahead of time.

I'll get on it tomorrow then. I'll use this thread since it already has the title, and I'll put the Paccar MX thread in the Kenworth forum (unless you guys want it in the Pete or General Garage).

Looks like there is a time limit on when you can edit posts. I'll start writing information and make a new thread about it in the coming days.

Thanks, I will be watching for the tread.
