Better question. Why havent you thrown your keys in your bosses face. Told him this #### is why you are leaving and to kindly find the best endowed blue whale he can and kindly take it up the tailpipe?
Thats what i would be doing and have done in the past. The "drivers" who tolerate this ######## are why its becomeing so commonplace. Personally i would talk to a lawyer and see if sueing the company is posible. Not because im some lawsuit happy karen. But because a "safety" device like that is likely the least safe thing i have ever heard of. It ramps your stress up, makes you afraid to check your #### mirrors and punishes you for standard human actions. Id be trying to make the case that its not only unsafe but is likely to CAUSE wrecks -
Companies should throw in one of those robotic sex dolls to verbally communicate the orders. Might be a good recruiting strategy. Lol.

Change companies to one that doesn't have driver facing cameras.
You still live in Corpus Christi?

There is plenty enough cameras, sensors, reporting, and ticketing to go around - they don't need you to call in a complaint to know their drivers don't do speed limits, following distance, and safe lane changes. I usually send in a report if I spot them also running other vehicles off the road.
If it were up to me, unsafe lane changes and tailgating (including tailgating in an adjacent lane) would legally be considered both a collision and brandishing, and if can be proved, a the driver and/or company would be fined for it (with the fine used to compensate law-abiding drivers for the hazard). Doesn't have to be much - a 10 cent per infraction restitution would probably suffice to make the appeal of defensive driving much more obvious (or at least shake out the worst offenders).Last edited: Jan 6, 2024
